Description

BASIC PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to greet the public at the red kettle and collect donations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Stand at the Red Kettle to receive donations.
2. Greet and thank the public as they donate.
3. Be responsible for the kettle donation money at all times, including securing the money during breaks and meal periods.
4. Provide written documentation of hours worked to supervisor as requested.
5. Follow instructions regarding times and locations of work.
6. Report all instances and concerns to their immediate supervisor immediately.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
1. Must have a pleasant personality and the ability to communicate well with the public.
2. Must present an appropriate appearance (i.e., clothing should be neat, clean and pressed, not loose-fitting or sloppy, and in good condition; shoes must be clean and in good condition). Due to cold weather, you will want to dress warmly. The red windbreaker must be worn at all times along with an identification badge.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. The employee must be able to stand for up to 2 hours at a time. Must be able to regularly lift
and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
