Job Summary

The Supply Planner-Internal Manufacturing is responsible for planning and releasing production orders to fill assigned mini line capacities while supporting to the fullest our customer demands and balancing to correct inventory levels. The estimated volume this position will analyze and plan is between 2-10 million units annually. They communicate directly with the plant planners when issues arise that may disrupt the production flow and work to resolve the disruptions to ensure downtime is avoided. They are responsible for reporting out on the health of their key styles regarding projected fill rates, inventory levels, and on time deliveries for new programs/styles.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production orders are released each week to fill capacity within assigned mini lines while balancing inventories to target levels and achieving fill rate objectives
  • Utilize Logility, Power Bi, and SAP to proactively analyze style and SKU health and ensure capacity of mini lines is right-sized; call out any concerns to lead capacity analyst for review
  • Work with plan planners along with lead planners to fill in any schedule gaps that have been created in released weeks; as a part of this they must monitor fabric availability to ensure they aren't overconsuming
  • Troubleshoot when styles aren't planning correctly to root cause and correct issues
  • Manage SKU expedite process for assigned styles
  • Monitor WIP reports and attend meetings as necessary to ensure WIP is balanced to production schedules for assigned mini lines; work with plant planners and lead planners to correct any imbalances
  • Facilitate new style set ups in Logility and issue and track test cut progress

Experience

  • Experience in manufacturing or supply planning or a 4 year degree in supply chain
  • Exposure or experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a corporate environment in an internship or entry level role.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Strong ability to analyze and problem solve within systems.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to balance and prioritize constantly changing demands and requirements
