Senior Manager, Strategic Marketing - Couplings Division

Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Industry for the Couplings Division, the Senior Manager, Strategic Marketing will lead the global strategy process for the division. Working closely with the Couplings Team, this position to facilitate the development and lead the deployment of global growth strategies that identify, target and deliver distinctive value propositions and generate sustained, above-market sales growth. The role will develop and maintain market intelligence for target industries, including size and growth, key customer needs/ VOC and competitive awareness.

Additionally, this role will identify market and product/ portfolio adjacencies, develop M&A target funnels and cultivate relationships that lead to strategic acquisitions that enhance the company's industry competitiveness. This position may assist or lead in the M&A process as needed, including integration.

Responsibilities

  • Owns and leads the market driven strategic planning
  • Collaborates with peers and cross functional stakeholders to develop, advance, and implement an industry vertical market planning process.
  • Partners and influences in the development, prioritization, and deployment of broader Powertrain/ cross selling plan, including key growth themes and initiatives that cross industry segments.
  • Develops and maintains unique sources and synthesis of market intelligence for target industries, including but not limited to: segment specific size and growth trends, key customer needs/ VOC, technology drivers and potential disruptors, competitive landscape, and proxies used for leading/ lagging indicators.
  • Develops and applies a deep understanding of VOC and End User/ OEM/ Distribution needs, trending, and decision-making processes.
  • Directs the development of timely business, economic, market and competitive intelligence analysis to support strategic planning initiatives, penetrate new markets, and evaluate performance of ongoing market growth and share capture initiatives.
  • Leads annual Strategic planning process which should generate consistent profitable growth and market share gains in targeted industries and markets.
  • Works alongside product managers with development and maintenance of market growth roadmaps (organic and inorganic) that enhance and improve Regal Rexnord's competitiveness in target industries.
  • Identify and action key drivers for market share capture of Commercial and Operational Excellence and Market Share Capture.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of previous experience working within commercial, strategic planning, product or marketing experience in a B2B industrial manufacturing enterprise.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field. (M.B.A. preferred).
  • Proven track record of delivering organic and inorganic growth though superior industrial marketing, as well as previous experience supporting new product launch commercialization.
  • Previous experience developing and implementing business strategy successfully.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (15 to 20% of the time).
  • Direct experience in a process-related manufacturing sector is strongly preferred.
  • Direct experience within any of our targeted industrial markets preferred.
  • Industrial experience with highly engineered products and complex B2B channels to market preferred.
  • Experience leading through influence in a cross-functional environment.
