General Summary: The Continuous Improvement Leader is responsible for the identification, planning, execution and monitoring of supply chain continuous improvement initiatives with a specific focus on improving existing processes and integrating third-party services. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Coordinates, leads, and facilitates internal and external cross-functional stakeholders in the development, communication, and execution of continuous improvement initiatives. 2. Prioritizes the elimination of waste by actively involving associates in the development of solutions to challenges, as they arise. Enlists front-line associates to drive improvements. 3. Seeks small improvements to processes and products in order to increase quality and reduce waste. Promotes an ongoing cycle of positive change and associate involvement. 4. Follows a metrics-driven approach for continually reviewing and improving organizational performance. 5. Discovers organizational gaps that hinder greater productivity and success. Analyzes the company's processes and suggests improvements. 6. Uses available tools to map, analyze and redesign internal processes in order to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and achieve better results. 7. Ensures the successful execution of continuous improvement plans through the development and detailed management of integrated master schedules, risk registers, and cross-function action item lists. 8. Ensures efficiency by implementing improvement strategies that align with company goals. 9. Organizes and presents continuous improvement recommendations for cross-functional management review, feedback, and selection. 10. Stays informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to maintain the company's competitive edge as it relates to continuous improvement. 11. Serves as the primary Honda Aircraft continuous improvement liaison between the Business Office and internal cross-functional stakeholders. 12. Ensures compliance with procurement guidelines, company policies, and strategic company objectives. 13. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including regulations from the Uniform Commercial Code, FAA, ITAR, Truth in Negotiations Act, False Claims Act, insurance policies, and intellectual property rights. Education, Work Experience, Certification and/or Licensure: 1. Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited university required. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Administration preferred. 2. Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience with a demonstrated ability to improve internal processes. 3. Previous experience in a directly related procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or project management role within aviation/aerospace manufacturing industry is preferred, but not required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Excellent writing ability with prior experience in presenting information to diverse audiences. 2. Thorough understanding of product development, qualification, and production launch processes. 3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Proficiency in SAP and Teamcenter a plus. 4. Self-motivated nature, able to work effectively without close supervision. 5. Strong leadership skills. 6. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of internal customers. 7. Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with suppliers and all levels of company personnel. 8. Demonstrate strong organizational skills. 9. Ability to apply sound business judgment and strategic guidance to management in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. 10. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and simultaneously manage multiple projects. 11. Ability to clearly and concisely present data. Physical Requirements: 1. Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise, heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors. 2. Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties. 3. Ability to work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State and Federal regulations, etc.). 4. Ability to read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties. 5. Ability to comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions. 6. Ability to effectively communicate in Business English language. 7. Ability to pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
