Principal Accountabilities

* Problem Solving: Collects and analyzes data for the purpose of solving problems & making recommendations on matters that are important to the cost structure of the manufacturing operation. Uses Lean/Six Sigma & other specialized tools in problem solving to include, but not limited to : Statistical Analysis, Simulation Modeling, Critical Path Analysis, etc.
* Determination of production bottlenecks, crewing needs, & other parameters necessary in maintaining routings within SAP/MiniMIINT.
* Providing Information: Interprets data from a host of sources and creates concise and user-friendly charts, graphs, reports, and other modes of conveying information to diverse audiences. Must be able to tailor the mode and style of communications to best fit the target audience.
* Financial Responsibility: In the role of team-leader or team-member on one or more teams, has responsibility for the attainment of team objectives which are usually translatable into financial measures. The I.E.'s responsibility in this team framework also includes determination of and documentation of the financial goals.
* Assist with the daily production reconciliation and reporting functions as required.

Job Complexity

* Downtime Analysis & Corrective Action: Determines the best method in which to gather the appropriate data and perform experiments and studies for the purpose of making recommendations for performance improvement. Solutions to problems are sometimes unclear with no well-defined method of resolution. The I.E. must draw upon his/her logical problem solving abilities, analytical abilities, detailed knowledge of the operation, and the use of specialized tools normally learned in an Industrial Engineering curricula (work sampling, flowcharting, methods analysis, critical path analysis, simulation, lean/6 sigma concepts, etc) to develop recommendations and solutions.
* Flexibility in Communications: The I.E. must consider the complexity and sensitivity of the information to be conveyed and the argument being presented, as well as the sensitivities and level of understanding of the intended audience. These factors must be carefully considered and the style of communications adjusted in order to properly convey the information in a logical, coherent fashion, such that the audience understands. More often than not, the audience consists of people with very diverse needs, levels of education, and abilities to comprehend technical matters.
* Teaching and Mentoring: The I.E. must be able to devise procedures, forms, work instructions, etc, in order to transfer the problem solving abilities to the people most closely associated with the problem.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $20.00.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
