Riverview Regional Medical Center (RRMC) is looking for an exceptional full time, night shift Public Safety/Security Officer to join our Security team. The Safety/Security Officer duties include, but are not limited to:

• recent wage increase
• performs security services, including electronic surveillance, systematic manual Security Officers' rounds, and functions of PBX
• coordinates facility response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors
• follows guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques, towards establishing a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care
• involved in law enforcement, patrolling, crime, emergency response, Public Safety protocols and procedures
• participates in employee awareness and education
• driving as needed for company business
• other duties as assigned
• 12 hour shift plus 4 hours: 6:00p - 6:00a, plus additional 4 hours during pay period

Education and Work Experience

• De-escalation and Crisis Intervention (DCI) training within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually (This is taught on-site)
• experience in healthcare security or related field, preferred
• State Guard Certification Registration Card within 6 months of hire and maintain current. This training is completed in house with reimbursement for application fee after successfully receiving permanent licensure
• All training is done on site and hours for this training are paid hours.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, required

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

• state driver's license upon hire
• current DMV H6 report
