Job Description:

The Sr. Scrum Master helps build high-performing teams by providing support with product delivery utilizing a deep understanding of Agile principles and team dynamics. The Sr. Scrum Masterlteaches the team Agile practices, facilitates Scrum ceremonies, and shields the team from external distractions. The Sr. Scrum Master brings the Product Owner and the team together and helps them understand each other's roles and key objectives. This individual is also a personal coach for team members and an innovator who constantly seeks continuous improvement. In the Sr. Scrum Master role you may work as a Scrum Master and/or Release Train Engineer (RTE).

  • Strong facilitation and communication skills
  • Strong team leader able to assess team spirit, facilitate positive team dynamics, and drive necessary actions to improve
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Highly skilled in building relationships and navigating through organizations
  • Experience coaching technical teams
  • Brings a high-energy and passionate outlook to the job and can influence those around them
  • Experienced in JIRA
  • Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that creates a comfortable & effective workplace

Qualifications

  • 5+ years Scrum Master experience
  • Certified Scrum Master and/or SAFe Scrum Master certifications preferred
  • Delivery or software development background
  • Experience in Agile principles and managing teams/dynamics

Responsibilities

  • Builds high performing teams who produce successful deliverables and work effectively via individual and team coaching
  • Strengthens the team's understanding of Agile / Scrum principles and ensure application of these practices
  • Ensures the team's actions are aligned with the goals and vision
  • Brings transparency to Business, IT, and Operations organizations about the team's progress and Agile processes
  • Identifies trade-offs between short and long-term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and Product Owner
  • Monitors Scrum processes and supports Product Owner on release planning and backlog management
  • Fosters a continuous learning environment, helping teams adapt to changing circumstances

Southern California region: $134,000 - $ 201,000 annually

Central California region: $141,400 - $212,100 annually

Northern California region: $151,100 - $226,700 annually

If you are a Minnesota, Colorado or Nevada resident, the salary range for this position is $127,900 - $191,900 annually

If you are an Illinois, Connecticut or Maryland resident, the salary range for this position is $134,000 - $ 201,000 annually

If you are Washington, Washington D.C., and Rhode Island resident, the salary range for this position is $141,400 - $212,100 annually

If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $151,100 - $226,700 annually
