We are seeking a skilled and reliable light and heavy-duty truck mechanic to join our dedicated team. This position is essential for ensuring our fleet of light and heavy-duty trucks are safe, efficient, and reliable. The ideal candidate will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various vehicles and equipment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on light and heavy-duty trucks, including but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, brake services, and inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standards.
  • Document all work performed, including inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and parts used, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to prioritize work orders and minimize equipment downtime.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Experience & Certifications:
    • Technical or vocational education in automotive or diesel mechanics is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in light and heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair.
    • Maine State Commercial Inspection License A and D preferred.
    • ASE Certification(s) or equivalent is highly desirable.
    • Valid driver's license required; CDL Class A or B preferred.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical, fuel systems, and air brake systems.
    • Proficiency in using diagnostic, hand, power, and repair tools.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company policies.
