Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position ofMechanical Engineer Level II in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum, or equivalent, typically with 4 years of applicable engineering experience. Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) license preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
POSITION SCOPE: As a fully competent engineer in all conventional aspects of the subject matter of the functional area of the assignment, plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Devises new approaches to problems encountered. This level requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained engineer. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum Experience: 4 years of applicable engineering experience. Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & TRAVEL: Physical Demands: The associate will be exposed to the manufacturing environment where hazards and requirements may include but are not limited to use of Personal Protective Equipment, ladders, noise above 80 dB, handling objects weighing up to 50 lb., solvent fumes, and inks. Travel Requirements: Travel is required to various facilities to support projects 30-40% per year. Some International travel is required. WORK CONDITIONS: The majority of tasks will be performed in an office environment while sitting at a workstation. When working in the field, incumbent may be required to work on the plant floor, make long walks to review existing conditions, take measurements, etc. Position is typically a Monday-Friday day position, except for working in plants or supporting projects which may result in longer hours for periods of time.
