Position Summary:

The Sr. IT SAP Business Analyst is responsible for providing application leadership and process support for Sales and Distribution teams. This position is located in Cary, NC with 4 days onsite and 1 day work from home schedule.

The individual will determine which application within the current/future business application portfolio best supports the requirements and processes within Order-to-Cash/Sales & Marketing areas. They are agile and adaptable but work with precision to ensure top-notch customer experiences, always. They will understand business processes, process/analysis management and their related IT requirements. They will drive the definition, optimization, improvement and approved changes to new and existing business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of business process and procedures to effectively identify and implement IT solutions.
  • Actively engage key business partners to identify/validate opportunities, ensure alignment with business strategies and define functional area roadmap.
  • Translate business needs into effective SAP SD solutions, focusing on Order-to-Cash, intercompany sales, Customer master, Pricing, Output management, Shipping, Billing and Returns.
  • Lead, design, develop and implement global Sales, Pricing, Billing, Shipping and Returns solutions.
  • Define project requirement by identifying project schedule, milestones, phases, and elements; forming project teams; establish and manage project budgets.
  • Actively participate in Project Reviews, hold scheduled meetings with business partners, provide updates to leadership on project and work status.
  • Deep understanding of SAP SD integration with MM-WM-PP-FICO
  • Work with Division IT, Group IT, COE and other Corporate IT teams (DevOps, enterprise architecture, middleware, security, etc.) to translate business requirements into functional/technical specs.
  • Develop, document, communicate, and validate business and technical requirements. Ensure all are met during the project delivery process.
  • Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) activities to ensure business and system requirements are met.
  • Create, reviews and delivers end-user documentation (user guide, process flow charts, training materials) and training for accuracy.
  • Follow and help improve all IT standards and processes (Change Management, Segregation of Duties, Documentation Standards, etc.).
  • Create operational documentation and KPI metrics. Perform system, interface and batch monitoring.
  • Lead or participate on High Performance Teams as applicable.
  • This role will own the creation, management, revision control and training documentation for all Supply Chain Sourcing Business Process Design.
  • Plan, manage and implement projects in the busienss systems and ERP space. Sales and Distribution.
  • Collaborate with users and peers to provide functional and technical support.
  • Provide SAP configuration and integration expertise in the SD functional area.
  • Provide day to day support for SAP and integrated business systems.
  • Identify and develop knowledge of new and emerging solutions, assessing their relevance and potential value to the organization.
  • Continuously improve professional business and technical skills through practice, training and participation in User Groups and education.
  • Resolve complex user reported issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer and training to business users and IT team, including sharing best practices.
  • The successful candidate must be able to work independently.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT business analysis experience combining work within Order-to Cash/Sales & Marketing areas.
  • 5+ years SAP experience combining work within a business function (Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Logistics) with business analysis and configuration required.
  • Any licenses or certification required by the position: SAP, S4, SD, HANA, C4, S/4HANA, CBAP, PMP, B.E., ECC
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing system.
  • Prior experience demonstrating ability to analyze and support business requirements.
  • A thorough understanding of SAP application and SAP SD configuration.
  • Experience working with and supporting systems like Precision, Oracle Engagement Cloud and SalesForce.
  • A functional/technical professional with a thorough understanding of Sales business processes.
  • Capability to lead project teams and manage systems development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of integration with other SAP modules.
  • Proven capability to influence business teams.
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Control Environment.
  • Strong Project Management skills utilizing Agile Methodologies.
  • Previous involvement in the deployment or optimization of an SAP environment.
  • Logistics, Customer Service, Business Analytics or Quality background is a plus.
  • Hands on experience developing BI and Analytics or Quality background is a plus.
  • Hands on experience developing BI and Analytics with Power BI, SAP BW or similar tools.
  • Experience working with or developing Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
  • Previous experience supporting SAP environment with strong SD background.
  • Previous position in Manufacturing (Discrete & Process Industries) a plus.
  • Experience working in projects where multiple functions work in a matrix structure.
  • Experience working in a global manufacturing organization with complex business practices.
