Post Doctoral Associate UPCI Basic Research Administration - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (24008525) We are searching for a postdoc to study the function of mitochondria in cancer-associated mesenchymal stem cells (CA-MSCs) during ovarian cancer progression. This work will investigate the alterations in mitochondrial function in CA-MSCs and develop methods to block CA-MSC to cancer cell mitochondrial transfer a potential therapeutic approach in ovarian cancer. The lab works primarily with primary human tissue and the overarching goal of the lab is to translate our basic research into novel treatments for ovarian cancer patients. Work from our lab is currently in early phase clinical trials. A doctoral degree in biomedical science or related field is required.
