Job Summary

Supports the academic mission of the university by overseeing two essential committees within the Office of Admissions: the Admissions Clearance Committee and the Admissions Petition and Appeals Committee. The position acts as a central coordinator, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of these committees. This role demands a high level of organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to handle complex workflows, deadlines, and sensitive information related to student admissions. The position involves independent decision-making and the execution of moderately complex tasks that directly support the functions of the Office of Admissions.

  • Coordinates, schedules, organizes, and facilitates regular meetings for both the Admissions Clearance and Appeals Committees. This includes preparing and distributing materials in advance, coordinating meeting dates, and setting up Zoom sessions or in-person meetings..
  • Coordinates the development of meeting minutes, documenting key decisions, action items, and discussions. Follows up on assigned action items, ensuring timely completion and communication of outcomes.
  • Recommends policies relating to both committees to better streamline workflows and ensure consistency. Ensures compliance with all relevant Board of Governors, accreditation, and university policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and interpretation of operating procedures by serving as administrative liaison with students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, vendors, and/or other key department constituency. Explains policies/ procedures; answers various questions; and assists in the development of constituent-facing communication.
  • Collects and analyzes committee data, including applicant information, committee decisions, and outcome metrics. Prepares reports summarizing committee activity, trends, and performance indicators. Assists in the development of training materials and documentation.
  • Effectively handles sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assign or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of appropriate experience, or Master's degree.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or other software systems used to manage processes.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong attention to detail and follow procedures.
