The Journal-News is seeking an All Media Journalist to join our fast-paced newsroom in serving Butler County readers.
We're looking for a journalist who can write breaking news, enterprise and watchdog stories for print and digital; shoot video for our online products; and contribute to branded social media accounts - including Facebook and Twitter - that will be expected to build our audience. You will work in a digital-first newsroom to provide digital videos and digital stories. This reporter will join our platform team of reporters and AMJs and will cover several local communities. This role will need to be in the Dayton office at least once a month for meetings! Responsibilities: The ideal candidate is a reporter and writer with a passion for telling great stories, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
Education/Experience
USD 19.57 - 29.38 per hour Compensation: Hourly base pay rate is $19.57 - $29.38/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program. Benefits: Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
