About this Position: Lead the overall operational management of assigned production area through mentoring, planning, problem solving, and continuous improvement, in alignment with current manufacturing systems, daily operations, new model, business plan, and/or innovation to achieve or exceed targets and promote associate success. Responsibilities include: * Lead and or actively participate in department initiatives such as BP, FSI, Mono-Z to gain or share knowledge, promote continuous improvement and foster engagement for area of responsibility. *Manage team performance (SEQDCM) through scorecard, visual management, monthly reporting, performance management and PDCA to close performance gaps. * Continually develop communication networks both within the department as well as other departments to ensure product and department success. * Lead and support collaborate problem solving and c/m activity by proactively cycling PDCA to reduce outflow of defects and establish continuous improvement to effectively communicate with management. * Implement department guidelines/policies/procedures consistently to ensure associate expectations are clearly understood. * Develop capability of self and team through training, mentoring and sharing of experiences in area of technical expertise and understanding for succession planning and to increase team workload capacity. * Ensure team readiness for new technologies/new model introductions to minimize impact to production results. * Communicate clearly through daily reporting to ensure shift-to-shift understanding of activity and pending items.
