Position Description

We are seeking a results-driven Digital Marketing Data Operations Manager with a proven record of leading data-driven initiatives to support our digital marketing transformation. In this role, you will manage the implementation of our marketing data strategy, ensuring effective measurement of our digital marketing performance. You will oversee the implementation of our marketing data architecture, governing in-platform data to ensure compliance with our internal data standards and taxonomy.

Additionally, you will also partner with our marketing channels teams to execute our tag strategy and management systems, facilitating campaign reporting and insights. You will also be responsible for delivering self-service marketing analytics, along with regular reporting and insights, while driving efficiency in building data quality and standardization for ongoing, high-quality insights and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and insights, with the ability to tell compelling stories through data. Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for marketing-related data, leveraging insights to make impactful data-driven decisions that optimize marketing effectiveness and drive business growth.

  • Manage the implementation of our MarTech strategy across multiple marketing channels, including web analytics, marketing automation, paid and organic media, and events:

    • Deploy marketing tags to streamline the collection of data and to categorize and organize data across MarTech.

    • Design the tag strategy process and data model for organizing, storing, governing, standardizing, and processing marketing data for analytics reporting and performance insights.

  • Lead the effort for global data tracking taxonomy:

    • Ensure consistent data classification and taxonomy across MarTech platforms for interoperability.

  • Lead global data integrity:

    • Govern our data taxonomy and naming conventions.

    • Design and develop comprehensive data governance system to ensure accuracy and confidence in marketing data.

  • Remain informed about emerging trends and technologies and sharing insights with the broader digital marketing team.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum of 7 years in digital marketing data operations, including expertise in MarTech platforms, CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and data analytics software.

  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret marketing data, analyze performance metrics, derive actionable insights, and develop strategies for execution. Ability to distill complex insights into clear, actionable steps for the business.

  • In-depth understanding of marketing platforms and tools, including Google Analytics, Marketo, Google Marketing Platform, and Google Tag Manager, along with familiarity with ad-serving platforms.

  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in utilizing marketing platforms to extract valuable data and insights, and experience in establishing and implementing a marketing data strategy, including the strategic design and setup of tags for accurate data collection.

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and practices to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance across marketing data systems.

  • Ability to build trust with stakeholders and proactively collaborate with marketing teams to design a repeatable framework for tracking top-of-funnel web metrics. Familiarity with data engineering principles and the ability to work with data teams to manage and structure marketing data effectively for reporting purposes.

  • Extremely detail-oriented with a high level of discipline and proven experience in creating successful workflows, governance, and standardization.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously, while maintaining a strategic perspective and identifying opportunities based on both current and future needs.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 127,500.00 - $ 148,000.00
