From your PASSION to ours

The Accounting Specialist plays a vital role within the accounting team, focusing on treasury, control, and risk management functions. Key responsibilities include managing vendor relationships, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the purchase order (PO) lifecycle, overseeing bank account management, and supporting internal controls and month-end close activities. In collaboration with the PO Supervisor, this role helps maintain compliance with internal control procedures. The Accounting Specialist will also partner with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and accuracy.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Support purchase order (PO) management, including creation, modifications, and goods receipt processes, in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee vendor onboarding documentation and collaborate with the master data team for setup in the general ledger.
  • Maintain signatory records for external relationships.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) discrepancies.
  • Adhere to the month-end financial close schedule by reconciling general ledger accounts and preparing related journal entries.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports, ensuring compliance with communicated deadlines.
  • Assist with the annual internal audit, focusing on compliance with internal controls.
  • Provide required information for external audits and monitoring activities to ensure adherence to controls.
  • Manage insurance tracking software, maintaining active proof of insurance for external parties and providing visibility of US Yogurt's proof of insurance to internal stakeholders.
  • Perform payroll analysis and comprehensive reviews to ensure alignment between ledger accuracy and payroll provider records.
  • Assist other departments, such as audit and accounting, with financial close processes and ad hoc information requests as needed.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in administration, accounting, or finance.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan effectively and set priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications.
