Trulaske College of Business, Employer and External Relations

Job Description

Position Overview:

The Employer and External Relations Office Coordinator at the Trulaske College of Business provides essential support to employers, alumni, and external partners visiting the College. This role is focused on coordinating event logistics, delivering concierge-level service to visitors, and supporting the Director and Assistant Director of Employer and External Relations with office management. The Employer and External Relations Office Coordinator also manages travel logistics and the Employer and External Relations staff and ensures a welcoming, professional environment for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research and Data Collection
    • Conduct research and data collection on Fortune 500 companies, local businesses, and organizations affiliated with Trulaske and Mizzou alumni
    • Maintain and update a tracking system of employer activities and alumni engagements to support strategic planning and outreach efforts
    • Subject matter expert on CRM system
  2. Travel Coordination and On-Site Event Support
    • Arrange travel logistics, including transportation, hotel accommodations, and dining arrangements for Employer and External Relations staff
    • Assist with event setup and tear down, ensuring the readiness and smooth execution of employer and alumni engagement events
  3. Office Management and Administrative Support
    • Support the Director and Assistant Director of Employer and External Relations with office management tasks, including coordinating schedules, managing supplies, and organizing materials for meetings and events
    • Maintain records of employer activities, student engagements, and alumni visits in Excel and other tracking tools, ensuring accuracy and easy access for the team
  4. Concierge Service for Employer and Alumni Partners
    • Serve as the day of assistant for employer and alumni events, providing high-quality concierge service and assisting with on site needs
    • Anticipate and respond to visitor needs, including meeting set up, signage, and assistance with directions and information
    • Maintain a welcoming environment at the front desk, greeting and supporting employer and alumni visitors as they arrive
  5. Career Fair and Large Event Assistance
    • Provide logistical and operational support for career fairs and large-scale networking events, working closely with team members to ensure event success.
Shift

40 hours a week

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in event coordination, customer service, or office administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Handshake or similar scheduling and recruiting platforms
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $16.72 - $22.00 an hour

Grade: GGS-007
