Know Your Rights: https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2022-10/EEOC_KnowYourRights_screen_reader_10_20.pdf Responsibilities The Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician Supervisor reports to the Regional Manager of Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Services and directly oversees a team of pharmacy technicians that span the ambulatory pharmacy space, including referral based HOPD pharmacist managed clinics, specialty pharmacy, and population health pharmacy services. The Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the pharmacy technician role is taken into account for workflow improvements and strategic initiatives across the service line. Activities that are overseen include prior authorizations; troubleshooting and resolving billing rejections; helping patients understand insurance coverage; facilitating financial assistance by screening patients for eligibility and obtaining supporting documentation; ensuring timely filling of prescription orders; documenting patient interactions within the EMR. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING Required qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent degree. 3. Minimum of 5+ years of pharmacy technician experience 4. Supervisory technician experience of 1+ years. 5. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Preferred qualification: 1. Previous work in ambulatory pharmacy setting preferred. 2. Extensive EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system knowledge/experience preferred. 3. Familiarity with pharmacy financial assistance programs and insurance processing preferred. Connect With Us!
