The Regional Pharmacy Manager of Retail Pharmacy is responsible for providing managerial and programmatic direction for retail pharmacy services across the designated territory. This multi-site Regional Pharmacy Manager position provides managerial support and strategic direction for retail pharmacy operations and customer services to ensure efficient and comprehensive retail pharmacy care. This position will support the vision for retail pharmacy operations, ensure safe medication use, and provide excellent customer service including regulatory compliance, fiscal performance, pharmaceutical purchasing, inventory management, strategic planning, budget planning, program growth and development, continuous improvement activities, key performance indicators, benchmarks and dashboards for operational oversight, and wholesaler and distributor management. The Regional Pharmacy Manager of Retail Pharmacy ensures that system retail pharmacies operate in an efficient manner, adhering to policy, procedures, and programs that maximize the potential sales, prescription growth, margin and profitability while growing customer service programs and providing excellent customer service.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Required qualifications:

Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
1. B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD degree required.
2. 5 years of retail pharmacist experience with at least 3 years of previous experience in retail pharmacy management and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) responsibilities required.
3. Strong verbal/written communication skills and customer service skills required.
4. Requires demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing pharmacy operations, drug diversion monitoring, medication safety, and pharmacy personnel.
5. Experience with contract pharmacy and specialty pharmacy workflows required.

Preferred qualification:

1. Management experience at corporate or regional/district level preferred
2. Experience with oversight of major pharmacy projects or transitions (i.e., pharmacy automation implementation, GPO/wholesaler conversion, expansive pharmacy staff model change, etc.) preferred.
