POSITION

Allspring is looking for an Orchestration Engineer to optimize and support our data flow systems. Reporting to the Manager of Data Flow Engineering and Operations, the Orchestration Engineer will define and detail the Data Flow service, including all supported use cases.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

Location(s): Boston, MA, Charlotte, NC, Milwaukee, WI

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Generate and maintain architectural diagrams and data flows that support the Data Flow services.
  • Define and maintain supported use cases in the Data Flow services, ensuring that the services remain aligned with business needs.
  • Identify and budget for all technology needs to support the services.
  • Build and maintain monitoring and alerts to ensure the ongoing health of the Data Flow services.
  • Develop dashboards to demonstrate Data Flow service health and provide drill-down capabilities to diagnose flagged issues.
  • Define and implement warning and alert thresholds as needed across the Data Flow services.
  • Configure and maintain OpsGenie to build cases and send alerts based on thresholds.
  • Identify and suggest opportunities for cost reduction, improved reliability, enhanced security, risk reduction, and automation within the Data Flow services. Develop and implement plans to achieve approved recommendations.
  • Resolve data flow incidents and fulfill service requests according to SLAs.
  • Ensure underpinning technologies continue to support the Data Flow services effectively.
  • Identify incident trends related to the Data Flow services and/or underlying technologies. Perform both proactive and reactive Problem Management to continually improve the services and/or technologies.
  • Build and uphold operational procedures for running the Data Flow services and guarantee adherence to them.
  • Advance operational, budgetary, and initiative delivery issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain service delivery metrics (e.g., data flow volume, failed data flow job report, number of cases resolved, etc.).
  • Report the status of initiatives to management and through Weekly Business Reviews.
  • Align the Data Flow services with Allspring policies, and provide evidence of alignment.
  • Provide audit teams with evidence of compliance as requested in a timely manner.


Required Qualifications



  • 2+ years' experience in file movement and data flow related technologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to prioritize, complete, and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • 2+ years' engineering experience with AutoSys scheduling service or similar.
  • 2+ years' engineering experience with GoAnywhere cloud service or similar.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Ability to support multiple internal clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
