The Commercial Route Trainee role is learning how to effectively provide service of the company's Commercial Pest Management Services and Products to new and existing commercial customers, while maintaining a customer-focused service to grow the business. This includes assessing customers' needs by performing an inspection based on customer concerns using expert knowledge of the company's products and services that result in the sales of the organization's pest control solutions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Complete all required onboarding and training for the role Gain knowledge to deliver timely, safe, and effective pest control service for each established and new customer on assigned route Gain knowledge to complete quarterly/annual inspections to ensure continued service efficacy, and identify/document any concerning conditions Demonstrate ability to advise customers of service work completed, summarize concerning conditions, relate recommended solutions/benefits, gain commitment, and collaborate with other team members on needed follow-ups Understand how to maintain safe and clean vehicle/equipment, and ensure sufficient quantities of product to meet route service needs Demonstrate the ability to maintain a current and thorough service logbook according to customer/vertical-specific protocols Satisfactorily complete initial technical training and participate in regular update training to stay current with proven methods and practices Complete training, certifications, & licensing
What do you need?
High school diploma or GED (preferred) Ability to successfully obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations Ability to follow instructions for mixing on product labels Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills and the ability to present information in both internal and external settings Basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure - using whole Must successfully meet pre-employment background screen Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence and pass motor vehicle record search
