Role Description & Responsibilities

BIOVIA is looking for a motivated Biosciences Portfolio Director to join our R&D team in San Diego, CA or in our Waltham, MA office, in an onsite/hybrid role.

As the BIOVIA Biosciences Portfolio Director, you will lead a team responsible for defining and managing BIOVIA's portfolio of software products for drug discovery research and development. In this role, you will collaborate with BIOVIA's clients to identify evolving scientific and technological trends, developing a portfolio strategy that enhances our customers' business growth and competitiveness. Leveraging BIOVIA's extensive expertise in research informatics and laboratory solutions, you will create innovative software solutions integrated within the 3DEXPERIENCE cloud platform, offering powerful workflows that enhance critical business processes for BIOVIA's customers.

Responsibilities



  • Lead a team of software product managers in developing and implementing product strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Guide cross-functional teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant product delivery.
  • Define the biosciences portfolio roadmap to drive customer success, revenue growth, and financial profitability.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure product development and market positioning meet customer needs.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competition, and customer feedback for product development.
  • Manage strategic relationships with third-party vendors to build a robust partner ecosystem.
  • Provide guidance and coordination within the product management team to ensure product success.
  • Present product plans and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

* Advanced Education in a life-sciences focused education at a graduate or PhD level preferred

* 10+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering successful products.

* 10+ years in a leadership role managing large teams

* Deep industry expertise in drug discovery and development, biopharmaceutics, and biologics.

* Strong leadership and management skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.

* Leadership & Management: Proven ability to build, manage, and motivate high-performing engineering teams

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

* Experience with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks

Compensation for this role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $180,000 and $250,000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.

Dassault Systemes offers an excellent salary with potential for bonus, commensurate with experience.
