Assistant Trust Officer

Position Summary:

Serve as primary liaison with Trust Administration and SEI and current clients and Provide Trust Administrative Support

Position Responsibilities:



      • Collect, evaluate, and organize necessary trust documentation and prepare files for new accounts.

        • Establish and manage trust accounts, including opening bank and brokerage accounts.
        • Support Trust Officers in the daily administration of accounts.
        • Process and monitor investment transactions, distributions, and expense payments in accordance with trust agreements.
        • Conduct compliance checks for new trusts and resolve exceptions, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
        • Serve as a liaison with clients, attorneys, and advisors to ensure seamless account management.
        • Conduct annual reviews of assigned trusts and maintain accurate records using trust accounting software.
        • Prepare reports, business correspondence, and beneficiary notices, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
        • Assist in preparing invoices for trustee services and support the collection of outstanding fees.
        • Training: Mentor and train trust administration assistants as needed.
        • Stay updated on legal, tax, and investment developments impacting trust accounts.
        • Maintain accurate and complete account records including supporting documentation for accounts, discretionary distributions, and payments


          • Prepare KYC, Account Opening Documentation, and Client Profile. Establish new accounts on SEI system
          • Test security system on a monthly basis and submit report
          • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal partners

            • Special Projects and Duties as Assigned



                Essential Skills and Experience:



                • College Degree or equivalent experience
                • Ability to read, write and speak English Clearly
                • Ability to operate on SEI platform, Trust 3000, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook
                • Willingness to learn new systems and procedures and the flexibility to change when necessary
                • Strong understanding of trust documents, legal terminology, and regulatory requirements

                    • Ability to interact effectively and tactfully with customers and personnel of other departments
                    • Knowledge of own department's operations, polices, and procedures
                    • Must be an organized, independent, and detail minded individual
                    • Minimum one years' experience in Trust Administration


                    Nonessential Skills and Experience:



                    • Serve as a backup for other job functions
                    • Maintain a Neat and orderly work area
