Job Description

  • Ensures reliable operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive & reactive maintenance troubleshooting, repair, modification, installation, demolition, and upgrade requirements following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications, job hazard analysis (JHA), written safety programs and other technical documentation. Support as flexible labor in support of the site in areas outside of the specific role assignment. Provide support for contract labor force in communication of and champion for site conditions to ensure contractors perform work to within our site conditions requirements for safety and non- interference with production operations. Support teams such as safety, RCFA, Lean, TPM, HPWT and similar. Strives for optimal balance between cost of equipment maintenance and equipment reliability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot machines and equipment breakdowns to diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic problems.
  • Disassemble and reassemble machines assemblies and sub-assemblies to perform repairs
  • Replace broken or defective machine and equipment parts
  • Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors and positions sensing devices.
  • Diagnose, repair and replace faulty electronic components such drives and PLCs.
  • Support all requirements of SAP PM for work order maintenance (creation of notifications, confirmation, and closure) and labor tracking to enable gathering and evaluation of data by continuous improvement teams.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience
  • Basic understanding of machining processes such as lathe, milling, surface grinding, gear and key way cutting, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and ability to use general machinist handbooks.
  • Use of basic hand tools and power tools


  • Associates Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred. Relevant Military training or work experience will be considered in lieu of education.

Other Requirements

  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems
  • Computer knowledge and 1-2 years of Windows applications and SAP transactions experience preferred.
  • Flexible work hours for shutdown, call availability, on call process or projects within established guidelines.
