Senior Director, Global Human Resources

We are seeking well-qualified candidates for the role of Senior Director, Global Human Resources. This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia and will lead a global team of HR professionals.

The Senior Director, Global Human Resources will be responsible for building strong business relationships across global functions to drive the company's human resources strategy and to lead delivery of enterprise-wide human resources services to enable and support strategic initiatives and long-term business objectives across the Company's five divisions. There are approximately 700 employees located in five countries, and a small number are unionized. This function includes providing global, enterprise-wide leadership with respect to talent acquisition, talent management (including employee engagement, employee development, performance management, and succession planning), total rewards (including compensation and benefits), executive compensation, HR compliance, HR information systems, and HR processes.

Requirements of the position include:

  • A BS/BA degree in Human Resources or a related field; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of HR leadership experience, with at least five years of director level HR experience or its equivalent and at least three years of international HR experience (including experience managing corporate and field-based teams); experience working in a consumer goods company is highly preferred.
  • Experience in developing successful enterprise people strategies; organizational design and restructure; total rewards strategy and execution, employee and labor relations; project management are all requirements of the role.
  • Senior level (SPHR or SHRM-SCP) certification required; International HR Certification is desired.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations; International experience is desired.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, varied human resource information systems; must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ADP Workforce Now and Celergo is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional supervisory and leadership skills, along with excellent organizational skills are required.
