Job Location: Hershey, PA
Associate Brand Manager (ABM/Sr ABM) has responsibility for Packtype innovation and strategy projects focused on the IC business. An ABM/Sr ABM must be a strong leader of people in cross-functional assignments as he/she plays a leadership role throughout the corporation, coordinating with other functional areas within the organization, and with outside marketing suppliers (such as design agencies), to drive the IC business.
Additionally, this position requires strong analytical skills, and an ability to translate analysis on the business into recommended marketing actions, including advertising, promotion, product changes, pricing, new products, retail programs, and other key programs that could affect profitability and share. Must have a keen view of the external environment including general trends impacting the business, competitive assessments, and an understanding of both consumers and customers.
The position requires strong presentation and communication skills, and an enthusiasm for bringing best-in-class insights, strategies, and consumer experiences to the broader organization. Being a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for innovating is needed to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Strategic (3-5 year) and annual marketing planning and (periodic) re-planning on the IC business
* Leadership of activities inside and outside the company that will drive growth through successful product launches and implementation of marketing strategies
* Partner with Cross-functional teammates to design, plan, and execute initiatives within timeline and budget to grow the business
* Project ownership including navigation of stage-gate commercialization and launch readiness activities
* Analysis of business results, the internal/external business environment, competitors, customers, market trends, consumer research, and implications to the IC business aimed at identifying opportunities to pursue and risks to mitigate
* Creative/Design Agency Briefing
* Personal training and development
Education: MBA preferred; relevant internal Hershey experience accepted in lieu of MBA; MBA required externally
Experience/ Skills
* At least 3 years of related work experience
* Outstanding analytical abilities, with experience turning insights into actionable recommendations
* Strong leadership and influencing skills
* Demonstrated Strategic Thinking and Planning, and Problem Solving
* Overall business knowledge and holistic general management approach
* Possesses a growth mindset, with the ability to contribute to innovation and creative solutions
* Ability to managing projects from development to execution, and be accountable for sales results
* Strong verbal & written communicator to a wide breadth of audiences including senior leadership
* Functional marketing expertise in some, if not all, areas of marketing
