JOB STATUS: Full-Time

TRAVEL: Up to 10% to company, customer, and off-site locations

JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Business Partner will report directly to the CFO, with a dotted line to the assigned Division General Manager. In this critical role, the Finance Business Leader will act as the CFO of the Division, partnering closely with the Division General Manager and their senior leadership team of VPs/Directors. This position is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the division, ensuring alignment with organizational financial and strategic objectives.

The Division CFO will:

  • Drive enterprise alignment of financial operations.
  • Identify and assess risks, opportunities, and key performance metrics.
  • Safeguard the division's financial health.
  • Foster a culture of ethics, integrity, and collaboration while continuously driving improvement.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Act as an accountable partner in driving and achieving Division financial results.
  • Serve as a conduit into the Finance organization to ensure appropriate operational rhythm, standardization, efficiency, and alignment.
  • Maintain the highest commitment to quality, compliance, and internal controls in adherence to company values and ethics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Financial Strategy, Analysis, and Reporting:
    • Develop business strategies and forecasts, including Long Range Strategic Plans and Annual Operating Plans in alignment with the broader finance organization.
    • Oversee financial operations, including program setup, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow, and indirect cost management activities.
    • Provide financial business analysis and reporting to the GM, ensuring clear communication of program status and insights to senior management.
    • Manage and communicate risks across multiple contract types, ensuring alignment with financial and executional objectives.
  2. Operational Leadership and Program Management:
    • Coordinate and lead division finance activities, collaborating across contracts, pricing, accounting, HR, and FP&A.
    • Lead preparation for Monthly Operations Reviews and maintain Program Management Review calendars, analyzing financial variances and ensuring financial integration across the division.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, FAR clauses, government guidelines, and corporate policies.
    • Support the program lifecycle from startup, establishing a baseline, ensuring financial reports and CDRLs are completed and accurate, and invoices are submitted and paid in a timely manner.
    • Drive standardization, consistency, and efficiency throughout the financial processes.
  3. Talent Development and Financial Guidance:
    • Manage, mentor, and develop the Program Control Analysts within the division, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
    • Provide training and support for Program Managers and division leaders to mature financial acumen throughout the division.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline with 14 years, or Master's degree with 12 years, of business management experience in areas such as financial planning, cost proposals, project execution, and contracts.
  • Experience with budgeting, accounting, and forecasting for DoD and other federal programs.
  • Strong understanding of government contracting regulations, including FAR and CAS.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
  • Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and driving financial outcomes in the in the government contracting industry.
  • Strong background in financial systems, tools (including MS Excel), and analysis techniques. Familiarity with AI tools to support analytics is a plus.
  • Ability to summarize and communicate financial insights effectively to program managers and stakeholders.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Previous experience with Deltek Costpoint
  • Previous experience with budgeting and forecasting tools such as TM1
  • Previous experience or knowledge of unique DoD reporting requirements, including TWES and FINCON
  • Certifications such as CPA, CFA, or PMP
  • Active government security clearance
