Research Scholar in Radiology
The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics (UIHC) Department of Radiology invites applications for a Research Scholar to join our innovative research team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research on spectral CT, quantitative imaging, and artificial intelligence. Position Highlights: - Research Focus: Engage in impactful research spectral CT, quantitative imaging, machine learning, and AI applications in radiology. - Collaborative Environment: The University of Iowa provides a rich environment where faculty, post-doctoral fellows, research associates, and graduate/undergraduate students regularly interact and conduct collaborative research studies. - Advanced Resources: Access to state-of-the-art technology, dedicated research facilities, and high-performance computing resources. Qualifications: - MD, PhD, or MD/PhD in Radiology, Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field. - Experience in quantitative imaging including radiomics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence as applied to radiology or medical imaging. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as LLMs, CNN, DNN, Python, MATLAB, or R, with experience in imaging software and AI frameworks. - Research Acumen: Strong publication record and a commitment to advancing diagnostic imaging through innovative research. - Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration in a diverse research environment. Appointment Details: The appointment is for one year, with continued funding contingent on performance during the first six months.
