WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) ...

We are currently seeking a motivated, caring, and empathetic intern to join our team. You will shadow a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is responsible for assessment and treatment to our clients.

Essential Duties:

  • This internship will allow you to learn about Newport Mental Health's person-centered approach to care and will allow the individual to shadow the clinician during their group, individual, and family therapy sessions; diagnostic assessments, including initial intakes and on-going assessments, as well as learning how to provide clinical consultation and guidance to case management staff.
  • This role will allow the intern to see how to complete records utilizing a collaborative documentation approach, how to participate in crisis response services, and how to serve as a client advocate.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU...

  • Enrolled in a masters level program at an accredited college or university.
