INVISTA is looking to have an Environmental Engineer join our Longview, Texas Polypropylene site. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the facility's compliance with environmental regulations and standards

Our Team

You will be part of a dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team that includes an EHS Manager, Safety Specialist, Environmental Engineer, EHS Coordinator, LDAR Coordinator and EHS Administrator. The team collaborates closely with corporate safety professionals and other departments to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. The EHS team at INVISTA Longview is committed to continuous improvement and cross-site learning to enhance environmental performance.

What You Will Do
* Manage multiple compliance programs.
* Develop tools and templates while ensuring consistency in program compliance management.
* Supporting reasonable inquiry, reporting, and compliance management processes through validating data, building, and running data queries and reports, managing environmental share drives, SharePoint sites, etc.
* Driving continuous improvement through integration with site-wide processes, "right-sizing" tools, eliminating data management redundancy, and ensuring controls are in place for critical environmental data, and improving environmental information management and reporting activities.
* Ensure program requirements are understood and sustainable through the development of rigorous, robust, and integrated compliance systems.
* Perform periodic self-assessments and participate in audits to verify compliance and system effectiveness
* Perform required inspections and field reviews for maintaining compliance with permits and regulations.
* Ensure that all deadlines are met for the site Compliance Plan and Periodic Reports.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Engineering or a Bachelor of Science degree within a science field (chemistry, environmental science, biology, etc.)
* Previous experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting
* Previous experience in environmental air programs (ex. Title V)
* This role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead
* 3+ years of experience in an Environmental Engineer role
* LDAR experience
* Experience in a petrochemical facility
