Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS) is seeking an experienced Technology Transfer Specialist to support the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) in Silver Spring, MD. Duties and responsibilities: Draft, review, and assist with the preparation of CRADAs, Limited Purpose (LP) CRADAs, material transfer agreements (MTA), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), agreement amendments, and other partnership agreements for the NMR&D enterprise through execution or cancellation of negotiations Knowledge and competency in analytical problem solving and resolution of agreement issues as they arise and will document these activities within permanent local records of all related activity and records of this will be sent to a central Navy database Research, facilitate, and assist in the commercialization of Navy technology through appropriate marketing and licensing support efforts Deliver complex commercial assessments, in an efficient manner to the OPBD that can include identifying potential business partners Perform technology outreach to potential commercial partners to help maintain a pipeline of licensable inventions Drafting technology summaries, identifying publicly available patent documents and peer-reviewed publications that correspond to NMRC technology Perform and provide assessment to the NMRC OPBD as commercial opportunities for the current technology portfolio, and proposing fact-based recommendations on whether to continue to market technologies Assist the Government in monitoring the compliance of partnership agreements. Assist in monitoring CRADAs, technology transfer partnership agreements, and PLAs for compliance with terms of the agreement, review regular CRADA and license reports from internal stakeholders as well as collaborators and seek opportunities for value creation that would benefit the Navy and our partners Provide status updates on pending agreements to Navy agreement originators at least once every two weeks. Respond to inquiries from agreement originators and/or collaborators pertaining to pending (i.e., unexecuted, or newly executed) agreements in one to two business days, professionally and succinctly Assist with administrative maintenance of current and up-to-date records of all activities surrounding the assigned transactions in a central tracking system/database (i.e., PARTNERS, or other, as appropriate) through continuous annotation of events and by attaching all critical reviews/approvals/documents and missives in the appropriate record within the tracking system Prepare Conflict of Interest (COI)/Confidentiality Agreement and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to performance |
