Industrial Facilities Engineer
After 90 days of training: On site M-F 6AM to 3PM Tempe, AZ $65,000-72,000 We are currently seeking an Industrial Facilities Engineer to join our (Research & Development / Higher Education) Public Institutions Team. Candidates priorities are: Performing and/or completing service requests and preventive maintenance work in a timely manner Monitoring and evaluating building systems to improve overall performance and efficiency as well as monitoring the quality of work performed by outside contractors Comply with all policies and procedures established for the site, participate in emergency response procedures, technical and safety training programs and perform all work using the proper safety equipment Successful Candidate Requirements: Inspect maintain and repair industrial equipment and machinery to ensure efficient operation and document details associated with repair and maintenance in the word order system. Test and observe equipment and machinery using tools such as voltmeter and other testing devices to diagnose malfunctions and make repairs as needed, while performing preventive maintenance and daily/weekly duties. Care of machinery such as compressors, process pumps, motors, process vacuum systems, dryers etc... for signs of wear and to ensure proper efficiency to eliminate unscheduled system failures. Examine moving parts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for excessive wear, defects and damage. Record all maintenance and repair services performed and keep track of all materials and parts used during the repair process Replenish materials and parts when inventory grows low or is depleted by documenting material used and notifying your supervisor or lead engineer. Able to follow manufacture manuals / blueprints when operating or setting up new equipment Ability to work independently or in a team environment Lead and develop processes and inspections to increase life of capital equipment. This is to ensure all critical systems and processes that support the facility are maintained. Able to assist other skilled trades as needed Ability to be on call as needed to cover building alarms and facility after hour issues Willingness to learn additional skill sets such as ultra-pure water operations, boiler maintenance, HVAC, pipe fitting, electrical, low voltage controls, and minor labor projects.
