As a Manufacturing Engineer at Itron, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operational sequences, and both manual and automated processes for manufacturing or fabricating parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. The individual will collaborate with design engineering to coordinate the release of new products. Responsibilities include estimating manufacturing costs, determining time standards, and recommending tooling and process requirements for both new and existing product lines. The role also requires maintaining records and reporting systems to ensure efficient coordination of manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise with robotic systems and PLC-based control systems. Additionally, the candidate will support manufacturing operations, new product introductions (NPI), and cost-saving initiatives through the application of automated systems.
