Position Title: Weld Quality Inspector

Salary: $49,920-$56,160/year

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 4:30pm-3am Monday-Thursday

Direct hire opening on 2nd shift! Work 4 days a week in a growing company. This role is a quality control representative who will inspect welds and sign off on all units prior to completing projects. Prior experience is a must and a great attitude is what will make you successful. Apply today!

Weld Quality Inspector Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures to understand project requirements and specifications

- Repair broken-down or damaged equipment either in the field

- Assess hardware and installation functionality and prepare reports about maintenance and repair work that they have performed

- Handle customer relations in a professional and friendly manner

- Explain repair issues in a way that's accessible to a nontechnical audience

- Conduct inspections of welds to identify defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and giving feedback through coaching and training, as needed

- Perform detailed inspections of raw materials, final products, and confirm they are manufactured to standard

- Track, record, and maintain quality assurance data

- Follow product through the entirety of the manufacturing process to ensure each step is completed as intended

- Perform other duties as required

- Drive the maintenance of a safe and organized work environment, following all safety guidelines and procedures.

- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to address welding-related issues and provide technical insights for continuous improvement

- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations, promoting a culture of safety and quality

- Travel to Watertown, SD as needed; total travel less than 10%

Weld Quality Inspector Requirements:

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures

- Firm technical knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, mechanical engineering schematics and electrical diagrams

- Excellent communication skills that will allow the explanation of technical problems to laypeople

- Strong knowledge about the industry and the general requirements of different equipment types

- Precise written communication abilities for filing repair, installation, and maintenance reports

- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
