DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will receive cross-training in several different areas of SWIF in order to best assist and respond to complex inquiries from external customers. You will be responsible for making decisions in the best interest of the customer, as well as identifying areas for improvement in customer service, workflow, and process improvements based upon customer interactions. Within this role, you will answer incoming phone calls from SWIF policyholders and agents regarding work related injuries to policyholder's employees, and maintain accurate and prompt injury reports. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of regulations as set by the Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau and Bureau of Workers' Compensation. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Scranton.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must demonstrate the ability to adhere to the values and ethics of the Department of Labor and Industry.
- You must demonstrate the ability to work with professionalism, discretion, and good work ethic.
- You must have solid written and verbal communication skills.
- You must show initiative and problem-solving skills.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
