DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As Security Officer 1, you will be responsible for the safety and security of patients, employees, students, and visitors, as well as hospital and private property. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of tunnels, basements, buildings, and ground level areas; identify unauthorized individuals, traffic issues, fire hazards, and potential risks; respond to complaints from patients, visitors, and employees; and provide support on wards when necessary. A key responsibility will include upholding traffic and parking regulations to ensure organized parking, maintain smooth traffic flow, and monitor staff vehicle registrations. In addition to reporting unauthorized vehicles, you will assist with locating missing patients and facilitate their safe return, offer polite escort services, and provide directions. - Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with two 15-minute breaks, varied days off and every other weekend. May change based on operational needs.

Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
