At Mass General Brigham and Cooley Dickinson Hospital, we are committed to providing outstanding care while prioritizing patient safety and infection prevention. As our Infection Control Manager, you'll play a meaningful role in developing and implementing strategies to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections and promote a culture of safety throughout the hospital. In this role, you'll also be a part of the larger Infection Prevention team across the entire Mass General Brigham system with access to resources and thoughtful collaboration. Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with regulatory guidelines and best practices. 2. Conduct regular assessments of infection risks, surveillance, and outbreak investigations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. 3. Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control practices, hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and other infection prevention measures. 4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies for the prevention and management of infectious diseases, including COVID-19 and other emerging threats. 5. Serve as a resource and liaison for infection control issues, providing guidance and support to healthcare providers, administrators, and other collaborators. 6. Monitor compliance with infection control standards, conduct audits, and participate in accreditation and regulatory surveys. 7. Stay current with emerging infectious diseases, epidemiological trends, and infection control literature to inform practice and policy decisions. 8. Must be available to work in the case of a facility-declared emergency and to assist during regulatory agency reviews
