Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Use advanced data analysis techniques, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization, to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
- Develop and deliver regular reports and dashboards that provide key business metrics, such as sales performance, inventory management, customer behavior, and market trends.
- Business Strategy Support:
- Collaborate with leadership and business teams to translate business challenges into analytical projects and deliver solutions that drive performance improvement.
- Provide insights that inform strategic decisions in pricing, promotions, product assortment, and customer engagement.
- Build and maintain sophisticated forecasting models to predict customer demand, sales trends, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact of potential business decisions.
- Data Management & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by identifying and resolving data issues.
- Maintain and enhance data collection processes to support the evolving needs of the business.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, operations, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and provide insights that enhance business strategies.
- Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels, including senior management, through clear and compelling reports and presentations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance analytics capabilities.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements in data analysis, reporting, and business decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA or Master's) is a plus but not required.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, business insights, or a related field, ideally within the retail or grocery industry.
- Proven experience in applying advanced analytics to real-world business problems and influencing business strategy.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Knowledge of analytical tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar would be beneficial.
- Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with grocery or retail-specific data sources, such as POS systems, customer loyalty programs, and inventory management systems.
- Experience with forecasting and demand planning models.
- Knowledge of customer segmentation and advanced pricing strategies.

What are the details?
- Hybrid Remote: This position is based out of Carlisle, Pa. and will require 3 days a week in the office.
- Reporting: The Business Insights Analyst reports into the Manager of Planning & Insights within the Strategy team.
