Overview

Nakupuna Companies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Training Manager to lead the development and execution of our corporate training strategy. This position focuses on planning and delivering training programs and curriculum that align with company goals while enhancing employee competencies and supporting organizational growth. Reporting to the Deputy CHRO, the Training Manager will oversee all aspects of training program development and delivery, manage training compliance, and lead a Training Specialist to support these initiatives.

Training Strategy and Curriculum Planning

    Develop and implement a training strategy tailored to the needs of a growing government contracting organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and deliver Nakupuna University, encompassing internal and external training programs.
  • Plan and maintain a regular schedule for company-wide training programs, including PMP, Security+, Excel, leadership, management, and facilitation training.
  • Design and prepare training courses and materials as needed, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Leverage platforms like Cornerstone LMS and LinkedIn Learning to enhance training delivery and access.

Program Development and Execution

  • Manage the Annual Required Training program, ensuring compliance with corporate and contractual obligations.
  • Partner with leadership to support the Leadership Development Program and ensure its effective coordination and execution.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of training materials, as applicable.

Training Effectiveness and Compliance

  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness to ensure the integration of taught skills into workplace behaviors.
  • Monitor and track training compliance, particularly for contract-specific requirements.
  • Analyze training feedback and data to inform program improvements and future training requirements.

Team Management

  • Supervise and mentor the Training Specialist, ensuring effective delegation and support.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment within the training team.


Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Training, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, including training strategy and curriculum planning.
  • Experience with Cornerstone LMS and LinkedIn Learning platforms.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement comprehensive training programs.
  • Knowledge of traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques.
  • Proven ability to manage the full training cycle.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with government contracting compliance training requirements.
  • Ability to conduct cost-benefit analyses and calculate training ROI.
  • Background in government contracting HR support preferred.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
