The Opportunity

Join Adobe's hard-working engineering team as a Sr. Software Development Engineer in Lehi, UT. (Other locations considered if there is a fit.) This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a world-class team on innovative projects that craft the future of digital experiences. You will be part of an exceptionally versatile group, dedicated to crafting flawless and impactful solutions that compete on a global scale. Your hardworking behaviors will strictly determine the success of our digital products and services.

What you'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable software applications.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to successfully implement new features and improve existing ones.

  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and standard methodologies.

  • Apply your proven experience to fix complex software issues.

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment.

  • Ability to participate in an on-call schedule. (12 hour shifts rotating with another Geography)

What you need to succeed

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or 5+ years of relevant experience.

  • Strong proficiency in software development with a focus on backend systems.

  • Proven experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.

  • Demonstrated experience with AWS: EC2, Redis, IAM, WAF, ELB, Networking, Security groups, Lambda, API Gateway.

  • An understanding of event streaming and stream processing tools: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams, AWS SQS, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as code and configuration management: Salt, Ansible, Terraform, etc.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with collaborators and leadership.

  • Ability to work with limited supervision.

  • Ability to think outside of the box and come up with creative solutions to complicated problems.

  • Demonstrated experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience working within an Agile framework.

  • Experience with integrating various systems together.

  • Proficiency in writing and maintaining unit tests, as well as debugging complex systems.

  • Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Exposure to Clojure programming language or willingness to learn.

  • Exposure to ServiceNow especially in the ITOM / Eventing spaces.

  • Knowledge of multiple cloud providers.

  • Networking knowledge: subnets, routing, vlans, etc.

  • UI development and implementation experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $133,900 -- $242,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
