Macquarie Capital's Infrastructure & Energy Capital (IEC) team specializes in investing Macquarie's balance sheet into operating companies, projects and assets across its three major verticals: Digital Infrastructure; Social and Economic Infrastructure; and Energy Transition. The Digital Infrastructure team is primarily focused on traditional private equity investments (including control, co-control, or structured minority) but also benefits from Macquarie Capital's Infrastructure & Energy Capital's broad flexibility to provide other sources of capital.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Analyst or Associate on Macquarie Capital's Infrastructure and Energy Capital ("IEC") team, you will play a key role in the investment of equity and structured equity capital from Macquarie's balance sheet into digital infrastructure opportunities in North and South America. The role involves assessing principal investment opportunities, building financial models, conducting due diligence, market and industry research, negotiating commercial contracts, and preparing investment memoranda and other materials for internal and external stakeholders. In addition to evaluating new investment opportunities, you will also be involved in managing the existing portfolio of digital infrastructure investments, which includes working directly with portfolio company management teams, evaluating add-on investments, refinancings, recapitalizations, and divestitures in order to recycle capital for new investment opportunities.
Salary range for this position: $140,000 - $200,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. What you offer

  • 1-3 years' experience within investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, or private equity (experience or interest in digital infrastructure/telecommunications is advantageous)
  • Undergraduate degree within Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or Law.
