This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite on Campus (3 days) and remote (2 days). The Department of Surgery is one of the largest departments in the School of Medicine and is comprised of 102 full-time faculty members, 220 voluntary faculty members, 20 physicians employed on MSP agreements, 25 doctors employed by the VA or other facilities, 77 accredited and 13 non-accredited trainees and 100 career staff. Activities are organized in 13 sub-specialty divisions. Annual expenditures across the Department total over $66.5M with a global research portfolio of over $19M. This position involves designing, conducting, promoting, evaluating, and supporting health professions education programs in compliance with organizational objectives and nationally accepted accreditation standards and requirements including full scope of Acute Care Surgery/Burn Fellowship program management. Supports learners (including but not limited to faculty, residents, clinical fellows, graduate or undergraduate learners, practicing or licensed professionals) in areas such as curriculum, teaching and learning activities, scheduling, core competencies, assessment, and evaluations. Coordinates all activities associated with ongoing administration of health professions education programs. This position will be responsible for the full scope of courses offered through the Division including but not limited to: ASSET, ATLS, ATOM, BEST, IDC, Observer rotations, and all other courses and programs the Division of Trauma, Burn, SICU, and EGS develop. Responsible for all other duties as assigned. Applies knowledge about curriculum, requirements, and educational activities to coordinate professional health education programs. Coordinates and maintains program operations, which may include teaching and learning activities, program curriculum, learner scheduling, maintaining databases, tracking learner compliance, and program accreditation. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $33.29 - $59.15 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
