Medical Assistant (certified) Category: Healthcare Employment Type: Contract To Hire Reference: BH-380948 Medical Assistant needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's primary care client located in Illinois . We are looking for a Medical Assistant (floater) in Joliet on Fridays and other sites Monday through Thursday. This individual will be cross trained for front desk duties as well. Schedule: Monday through Thursday - hours may vary, but looking for a floater between clinics at these locations (Joliet, Utica, Lisle, Countryside and Alsip). Fridays in Joliet from 8am to 5pm Duration: 1/13 - 4/18 with possible extension Pay:$18-22/hr DOE What You'll Be Doing: Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination Cleans and sterilizes instruments Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests Schedules appointments and makes follow up phone calls to patients Performs administrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA regulated forms, and provides assistance at front desk Keys data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records May require other duties as assigned What You Need to Bring to the Table: National certification in Medical Assisting from a Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.
