Purchasing Clerk

Secure a work life balance that works for you with this exciting opportunity to join Advantage Resourcing's dynamic team in Pinkard, AL. We are hiring an experienced Purchasing Clerk. If you have a minimum of one year of purchasing experience, along with a background in administrative roles, customer service, and accounts payable/receivable, you are the ideal candidate we are actively seeking!

Pay: $16 - $18 per hour

Monday - Thursday (7 AM - 4:30 PM) + Fridays (7 AM - 11 AM)

Requirements:

• 1+ years of purchasing experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong decision-making, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds.

Purchasing Clerk Essential Functions:

• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail and prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
• Audit credit card reports and match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks, and distribute checks accordingly.
• W-9 and 1099 maintenance and respond to all vendor inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies, and assist in month-end closing.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, by company policy and accepted accounting practices.
