Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Within the team structure monitor workflow and provide case management services to families enrolled in subsidized child care programs, which include the following responsibilities:
*Analyze schedules submitted by Case Specialist, determine the appropriate rate, and notified child care providers. 10%
*Data enter and authorize child care schedules and rates. 5%
*Approve or terminate child care with providers by notifying over the phone and by mail. 5%
*Monitor and maintain Regional Market Rates, apply differential rates when warranted. 15%
*Monitor data entry of child care schedules to ensure accuracy. 15%
*Research and follow-up on questions related to contracting payment discrepancies. 5%
*Provide technical assistance to parents and providers related to program guidelines and forms. 10%
*Monitor team workflow, research and analyze problems, concerns, and needs. Meet with Program Supervisor to develop recommendations for problem resolution and changes to the systems, procedures, and processes to meet with workflow performance expectations. 20%
*Develop and maintain accurate, legible and complete written records of families' and providers program activity. 10%
*Responsible for maintaining knowledge of DPSS Contract, Title V, Funding Terms and Conditions, and Agency Policy. 5%
Non-Essential Duties And Responsibilities
These duties include tasks that are required, but currently comprise of less than 5% of the daily workflow for this job:
*Participate in departmental, agency and professional meetings and workgroups, as assigned.
*Assist Case Management Department Manager in developing policies and procedures to meet County, State, and Federal program requirements and agency goals.
*Enroll new families qualifying for subsidized childcare.
*Delegate pre-defined tasks to program support staff, with clear instructions and expectations regarding procedures and policies of program operations. Review delegated work, checking on target dates and progress of tasks, and authorize requested actions to parents and providers (e.g., Notices of Action).
*Work together with staff from other agencies, including Department of Children and Family Services, for the benefit of participating families.
*All other duties that may be required, as part of the essential functions of the job, as assigned.

We have doubled in size over the past 10 years. We provide child development and early education, workforce development opportunities, child care financial assistance, Head Start preschool and Early Head Start services and more for close to 50,000 parents, children, and child care providers each month in Northern Los Angeles County, including Antelope Valley, and the entirety of San Bernardino County, including an office in Victorville, serving a total geographic area of 22,500 square miles.
