As the Quality and Engineering Manager, you will oversee the daily activities of the Production Engineering and Quality Assurance Department, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations while promoting a culture of quality throughout the organization. Reporting to the Engineering Director, your work will involve supervising a team, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining essential KPIs to support the company's strategic goals.

You Will:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Quality Assurance staff, establishing efficient workflows and participating in critical projects.

  • Develop and maintain procedures, work instructions, and forms according to ASME and other industry standards.

  • Lead resolution of non-conformance items, overseeing material rejections, returned goods analysis, and corrective action programs.

  • Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement activities, including internal auditing and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Manage the M.T.E. calibration program, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.

  • Guide employees in resolving complex requests, and provide training, performance evaluations, and overall leadership to the team.

  • Coordinate with New Product Development teams to ensure DFM, DFA, DFS rules compliance, and support Production Validation activities.

  • Work with suppliers on onboarding processes, including FAI and PPAP submissions, to maintain a consistent, high-quality supply chain.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • Ten years of experience in Quality Assurance and ten years of experience in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems and knowledge of ASME Sections VIII and IX.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles; Six Sigma experience is a plus.

  • Experience leading engineers, QA technicians, QA inspectors, or QA leads, with an ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams.

  • Required travel up to 30%.

The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
