As a member of the Quality and Production Engineering team, the Production Engineer supports daily operations by planning and designing manufacturing processes, documenting revisions, improving workflow efficiency, and driving continuous improvement. You will provide technical expertise and leadership across manufacturing and supplier operations to ensure quality standards, cost optimization, and project execution. We ask that you have a focus on lean principles, visual factory methods, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

You Will:

  • Maximize product line efficiency by analyzing equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.

  • Implement Engineering Change Orders, creating and revising process documentation, tooling, fixturing, and operator training materials.

  • Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring processes are designed for operator safety; provide 5S training and support visual factory activities.

  • Lead standard work and cell design initiatives using lean manufacturing tools; develop and maintain product process control documentation.

  • Participate in creating, documenting, and sustaining Standard Work procedures; produce visual aids to guide operations.

  • Collaborate with Buyer/Planner to reduce material costs, improve supplier quality, and cultivate new supplier development.

  • Design and develop tooling for manufacturing cells, seeking alternative methods and materials to improve reliability and customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance (UL, ASME, etc.) and act as the product line expert on quality, lean manufacturing, and safety.

  • Support problem solving for quality issues, including warranty cost recovery; perform quality audits and manage Non-Conforming Product (NCP) reports.

  • Maintain Quality System requirements, including calibration procedures, logs, and records; participate in Material Review Boards to address non-conforming items.

You Have:

  • An engineering degree, preferably in Manufacturing/Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.

  • 1+ years of experience in Production, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering.

  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and a proven ability to guide world-class quality processes.

  • Strong capacity to analyze, document, and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality outputs and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
