Our client is looking for a Data Scientist with AWS experience and application development background to build APIs w/ Lambda function experience.

Responsibilities

• Automating Data Pipelines using Lambda to process, clean, and transform data before storing it in AWS services like S3, Redshift, or DynamoDB.
• Real-Time Data Processing of streaming data from sources like Kinesis, IoT devices, or application logs.
• Deploying machine learning models as APIs using Lambda to provide real-time predictions.
• Integrating with API Gateway to expose the model as a RESTful endpoint.
• Automating batch processing jobs for ML models on new or updated datasets.
• Developing event-driven applications that trigger Lambda functions based on specific events, such as an object being uploaded to an S3 bucket or a message arriving in an SQS queue.
• Using Lambda to glue together various AWS services, such as triggering model retraining when new data arrives in an S3 bucket.
• Orchestrate workflows using AWS Step Functions to coordinate multiple Lambda functions, enabling complex workflows like data ingestion, model training, and reporting.
• Use Lambda for custom monitoring, sending alerts via Amazon SNS when specific thresholds or anomalies are detected.
• Automatically scale ML inference workloads up or down based on demand.
• Leverage Lambda for sporadic workloads to minimize costs, as you only pay for the compute time used.
