Endress+Hauser Flow USA serves the USA, Canada, Mexico, Chile, and other Latin American countries. The Greenwood scope of manufacturing and assembly includes the measuring principles electromagnetic, Coriolis, vortex, ultrasonic, thermal mass flow, as well as special products, calibration and logistics services. The plant has one of the most accurate and largest production calibration facilities in the USA. What is the role about? As a Production Supervisor for Endress+Hauser Flow USA, reporting to the Production Manager, you will guide and direct 2nd shift associates in production activities related to assembly and calibration of Flowtec flow meters. You will manage daily business issues that arise, lead efforts to obtain resolution and ensure corrective actions are followed through. You will also ensure that product quality standards are met and methods for assembly process are achieved according to defined company process standards. Which tasks will you perform?
- Provide daily and weekly team direction to set goals and expectations in support of the customer delivery requirements, department and company goals. Direct work of associates and allocate resources to achieve positive results.
- Communicate with support cross functional areas for emergent and non -emergent issues to meet productions requirements.
- Communicate key production issues to management that have impact on department goals and timely customer delivery.
- Be the central point of contact for coordination of procedure and document changes.
- Coordinate associate training activities in MasterControl database.
- Implement and ensure effective associate training to producing Flowtec products to documented procedures using TWI methods.
- Ensure that process and equipment is maintained according to TWI methods.
- Determine line labor capacity load to determine work schedules to support customer requirements.
- Ensure associates actively follow inventory control procedures to maintain accurate work cell inventories.
- Lead and participate in projects and process efficiency improvements.
- Ensure work areas are maintained to the highest organization and cleanliness standards.
- Complete and submit purchase requisitions for consumables and other indirect resources maintaining budget cost center control.
- Ensure Key Performance Indicators for efficiency and performance are met or exceeded.
- Ensure methods, processes and activities are consistent with the company's values and policies related to employee safety (OSHAS 18001), Security of person and property (C-TPAT) and environmental responsibility (ISO14001).
- Other responsibilities as assigned by manager.
What do we expect from you?
- Associates degree (A.A. /A.S.) EET or equivalent and 5-7 years related work experience including 1 - 3 years supervisory experience; or combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Lean improvement programs (1-2 years desired)
- General knowledge of manufacturing, logistics and technical background
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and influence people
- Self- motivated to promote process improvements utilizing Lean techniques
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, written production instructions and business documents.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with common programs required, experience with SAP desired.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
