This opportunity is in the Claims Department.

Our Claims department oversees both high-exposure workers' compensation and liability claims. As an unbundled carrier, we work actively with third-party administrators (TPAs) and self-administered accounts to assist in guiding claims to a successful resolution. As an excess and large deductible carrier, the high exposure claims we handle keep our group challenged, but the uniqueness provides plenty of growth opportunities.

Role Description:

As a Reinsurance Technical Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing reinsurance claims operations. Your responsibilities will include analyzing bordereau spreadsheets, processing payments, triaging claim notices, and supporting various special projects. This position requires exceptional organizational and analytical skills to ensure efficient workflows and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for the reinsurance team, including preparing audit packages, maintaining system data, and processing transactions.
  • Analyze bordereau spreadsheets to identify discrepancies and key data values.
  • Triage reinsurance cessions and manage a small claim diary within a predefined threshold.
  • Collaborate with reinsurance claim examiners, Claim Operations, and Treaty Re Operations to optimize workflows.
  • Assist in managing annual aggregate deductibles (AAD), claim groups, and exposure monitoring reports.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc business reporting.
  • Coordinate daily and seasonal SOX compliance processes.

If this role describes you, don't delay. Apply today!

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) or Reinsurance Association of America (RAA) Re Scholar designation is a plus

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with treaty reinsurance or primary claims technical support required. Experience with DXC SICS is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet manipulation and analysis, is essential.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams. Basic SQL knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with a proven ability to collaborate effectively, including with remote teams.
